Immutable Backup Solutions
Secure immutable backups for businesses across Newcastle & the North East.
If your backup data can be altered or deleted, it will not survive a ransomware attack. Add a last line of defence to your backup strategy with immutable backup solutions that can’t be altered, encrypted or deleted during the lock period.
Immutable backups are specifically designed to protect data from ransomware and similar (otherwise disastrous) forms of data loss. Our secure cloud storage solution keeps recovery points instantly accessible while protecting them from ransom.
True immutability
Protected against ransomware with Immutability and Multi-User Authorization.
Hot, recovery‑ready storage
Recovery points stay in “hot” storage so your data is ready for immediate use.
Certified data centres
Data centres meet recognised standards such as by SOC-2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS.
Simple, predictable pricing
Straightforward per‑TB storage pricing with no proprietary hardware lock‑in.
Immutable Backup Solutions That Safeguard Your Critical Data
Delivered within our wider Managed IT Services, our recovery vault immutable backups are a secure, cost-effective cloud storage solution designed to protect data by providing a secure, unchangeable “golden copy” of your data. This serves as a reliable last line of defence in your overall disaster recovery and cybersecurity strategy.
We provide Immutability, virtual air-gapping, and Multi-User Authorization, using hot‑tier cloud storage so recovery points are ready for immediate use. You get clean, point‑in‑time copies without proprietary hardware or complex change programmes. The platform integrates directly with leading backup tools (such as Veeam), is hosted in certified UK data centres, and is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Our Case Studies
FAQs
What does immutable actually mean and can these backups ever be deleted?
Immutable means backup objects are written once and cannot be changed or removed until the retention lock expires. During that lock window, even admin actions and ransomware cannot alter them. After the configured retention period ends, normal lifecycle policies apply.
How does immutable technology specifically stop ransomware?
Ransomware typically tries to encrypt or delete backups to block recovery. With immutability enabled, the attacker’s changes won’t apply to the locked copies, so you can restore clean data from a known‑good point in time.
What is the difference between an air-gapped backup and an immutable backup?
Air‑gapped copies are physically or logically isolated (e.g., offline or on a separate network), which reduces exposure. Immutable copies are logically locked against change and deletion for a set time. Many organisations use both: immutable cloud copies for speed, plus periodic air‑gapped copies for extra assurance.
How do I integrate immutability into my existing 3-2-1 backup strategy?
Keep 3 copies on 2 different media, with 1 off‑site, and make the off‑site copy immutable. For higher assurance, extend to 3‑2‑1‑1‑0 (add one air‑gapped copy and aim for zero restore‑test errors).
Should I choose a cloud-based or on-premise solution for immutable storage?
Cloud immutability is quick to adopt, scales per‑TB and avoids hardware refresh cycles. On‑premise immutability can suit strict data‑sovereignty or offline requirements but involves capital cost and maintenance. Many SMBs start in the cloud, then add on‑premise for selective workloads.
Do immutable backups help meet regulatory compliance standards?
Yes. Immutability supports auditability and integrity requirements by proving that records were not changed during a defined window. It also simplifies investigations and legal holds by providing trustworthy, point‑in‑time copies.
